Imagine

When you realize that your imagination is meaningful, you begin to recognize that your inner world is where your life path is formed.

Imagination is the sandbox you were given at birth.

Before you learned to be practical, realistic, careful, and efficient, you knew how to imagine. You built worlds in your mind, invented stories and saw possibilities without asking permission from logic. That capacity never left you. It simply grew quiet as life taught you to prioritize what is visible over what is possible.

As a child, I was often described by my teachers as a daydreamer. I would drift into my own thoughts while the classroom carried on around me. One of my favorite activities was to lie on the front lawn, stare up into the sky, and watch as daylight slowly gave way to night and the stars began to appear. I preferred living in my imagination. It felt expansive, peaceful, and full of possibility.

At the time, that tendency was gently corrected, as if imagination were a distraction from the “real world.”

Now, I know that imagination was never the distraction.

Every meaningful change in your life begins as an internal image before it becomes an external action. The mind sees it. The nervous system organizes around it. Your choices begin to align with it. This is how the unseen becomes the seen.

When imagination is neglected, life becomes reactive and repetitive. When imagination is developed, life becomes creative and intentional. You stop living from habit and begin living from vision.

Jean Houston describes imagination as one of our highest human faculties,  the inner laboratory where new versions of ourselves are first formed. She teaches that imagination is evolutionary. It is how we experiment with who we are becoming.

Carolyn Myss reminds us that the images we hold in our minds carry emotional and energetic charge.

The way you see yourself internally directly influences how you move through the world externally.

Neuroscience supports this as well. Research shows that when you vividly imagine an experience, your brain begins wiring itself as if the experience has already occurred.

Imagination is where identity is formed before reality catches up.

This is the heart of Zenith in Action: Identity-Based Leadership From Your Highest Potential inside CG Excellence Training. Leadership begins with how you see yourself before anyone else does. Your imagination is where your brilliance is first extracted. It is where you meet your highest potential in practice.

Imagination does not have to be abstract. It can be simple, tactile, and surprisingly playful.

Recently, I rediscovered something small and unexpectedly magical, teabag art.

Artists like Ruby Silvious have turned used teabags into intricate miniature paintings, proving that imagination doesn’t require special tools or formal training. It requires a willingness to see something ordinary and ask, What else could this be?

Slow down. Notice texture. Allow curiosity to lead. Turn something that most people throw away into expression. The result matters less than the act of playing again. With a pen, watercolor, or pencil, that small square becomes a place to create  words, sketches, symbols, reflections. Anyone can try this.

Brew your tea. Let the bag dry. Open it. Lay it flat. See what wants to be created.

What makes this even more meaningful is how beautifully this pairs with SHRINKELZ® Wellness Signature Tea.

What begins as a ritual for hydration and nourishment can also become a ritual for creativity and reflection. The tea nurtures you from within, and the teabag invites you to express what is within.

Cultivate Your Imagination

  • Read beyond your usual genres.

  • Write without a plan.

  • Sit in silent reflection, free from distraction.

  • Visualize and record who you are becoming.

  • Walk in nature and let your thoughts wander.

• Create something small, just for the joy of it.

These are practices that expand your mental and emotional capacity. They keep you adaptive, innovative, and internally alive. Imagination is where your next version in your unique journey begins.

Creative Vision

Our capacity to visualize may be one of the ways consciousness itself explores what is possible.

There is a timeless idea, echoed across cultures and philosophies, that an intelligence is woven into the fabric of existence itself. Some call it nature. Others, consciousness. Some, a creative intelligence.

I am referring to the creative force of the universe that grows forests, shapes galaxies, and sparks thought within the human mind. When you envision, you may be participating in this intelligence.

This is why creative vision can feel expansive, inspired, and larger than the moment you’re in. It’s why ideas sometimes arrive fully formed, as if waiting to be discovered rather than invented.

It becomes a collaboration between your mind and the deeper intelligence that underlies reality itself.

Imagination feels expansive, creative and alive.

The child lying on the lawn staring into the sky.
The adult turning a simple teabag into art.
The leader visualizing who they are becoming before the world responds.

These are expressions of the same quiet process: the inner world shaping the outer one.

When you realize that your imagination is meaningful, you begin to recognize that your inner world is where your life path is formed.
